TaskS2 is a Tasker plugin that lets you use Tasker Actions on your Gear S2
TaskS2 only works with Samsung Gear S2.Why is this app paid while the Gear app is free? The reason is that non-Samsung users cannot access paid apps in the Gear App Store. not working properly on Galaxy Watch3. Wrote several emails to the developper, but didn't get a single reply so I think this app is just a total fake.
Probably once great. No app in Galaxy store for watch anymore so useless without the widget.
I too was skeptical with this app, as it was last updated in 2017 but the developer replied to a comment saying he's going to update it, but his reply was in 2018. It works perfectly on my galaxy active 2 watch and on my Samsung S20+ phone, now I can mute/unmute my phone from my watch and get my phone to give a quick vibrate to know its been done. Its great for what I wanted it for. The widgets work too, just found out how to add them in my watch.
This isn't a Tasker "plug-in" but an app which accesses Tasker manually. This makes the difference in being useful for other automation software which uses actual Tasker plugins, like "Automate".
I could not get it to work. In directions it gice adice to uninstall and reinstall. I did that. And I ended up paying for it multiple times.
Works great on the Samsung galaxy watch
Love the TaskS2 watch app (The [$0+$1] paid [for Watch+Android] App combo was well worth it)... The app works on my Samsung Gear S3 perfectly. AND: The widget works on my Samsung Gear S3 ALMOST perfectly. {¢ The flaw is that the widget hangs when BlueTooth connections is lost (The taskS2 app still works flawlessly) The widget-freeze problem workaround is to delete the widget from the watch's "active widget selection list". And then reselect and add the TaskS2 widget in the "active widget selection list". ¢} Maybe you could could also allow more then 4 buttons on the Widget... that would be a nice bonus. If the author fixes the widget-freeze bug, I'll send him a one off $10 gift for Xmas.
